Maybe I've studied the wiring diagrams entirely too much, but some of these electrical solutions and questions just seem out of left field.

ImportLuv, The radio, alarm, and ECU are all separate boxes with no iteraction. Turning off the ECU does absolutely nothing but make the car not start.

Nothing is theft proof. Starter kill is great, unless I pop your hood and engage the starter at the passenger side relay box. Fuel pump kill is great until I turn the running lights on and jump the fuel pump to the brake light. ECU kill is great until I pop your kickpanel and hardwire it. Granted, a potential theif probably doesn't have a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, but I'll be he'd be twice as resourceful as me. If I knew exactly what tricks you had, it would take me about 60 seconds (heh, like that movie) to make it mine. Conversely, a random theif probably doesn't know that you've wired your non-working AC switch to run the fuel pump cut, and the ECU will only power on if your power folding mirrors are in the out position. You'll never be completely safe; you're just decreasing the likely hood of having you car go missing.

A saftey glass film would do nothing on a frameless door. You can already pull the window back a full inch without breaking the glass.

I haven't seen every quick-release ever made, but most of them are made for racing and not theft prevention. With the wheel off, the ones that I've seen still have a 1.5" nub sticking out that would make a great place to attach a large set of vice grips. It wouldn't take 2 seconds to peek through the window to see that they're needed either.

My plan of attack. Stick in garage. Buy alarm with the following options: door switches, hood/trunk switch, siren with battery backup, glass break detector, rf motion detector, inclination sensor, ignition and fuel cut. Wire the ignition in "normally open" mode inside the passenger relay box. Wire in the alarm's fuel cut on the pump's power wire. Wire in a hard switch on the fuel pump relay's activation wire. Now there's no way in hell for them to get in or tow it without activating the siren (assuming that it's on). They can't cut the siren because it has a battery backup, and it would take them way too long to hardwire it with the siren blaring. The car still wouldn't be theft proof, but it would make it too much trouble for 99% of thieve to even TRY.

Story of Note: In a very old (1996) Car Audio and Electronic issue, a guy had a carputer to run the entertainment in his BMW 850. If the alarm was tripped, it would actually call the police and the owner on a cell phone, and then play back the them to "COPS" (bad boys bad boys, watcha gonna do?) at full blast (which was extremely loud) with the windows down. The siren and lights flashing part, too.

um.. My car came with a system called locktronics? It has a seperat chip that can attach to your key chain and you pull it out when you feel you parked in a area you dont trust and it will kill all the electronics to your igniton/fuel/everything.

^^^I think that is like the thing posted on like page 3...At least it sounds like it.

Chris, I don't think many people would go through the trouble of breaking into a car, try to start it...cant...pop the hood, look for the correct fuse, and figure out...

a lot of theives won't bother to spend much time on a car...unless it's in a rural area or something where they would have a bunch of time to actually execute things.

they make a lot of cool ad-ons for alarm systems today...I just bought a cheap little $30 alarm off of ebay, wired in Alpine Shock detection sensor, a clifford sound detection sensor, and my dog sleeps about 15feet away from it every night. Fuck protecting it from getting stolen...Insurance can cut you a check, what about getting fucking keyed and shit! that pisses me off more than anything (i've had a 240 stolen, and 2 cars keyed, one with over $800 worth of damage).

damn, you got bad luck.
I didnt know that alarms can be added on in the future. I might look into that.
But what still pisses me off is not having a metal frame, window sill, or whatever its called that goes around the glass door window.
