Pros/Cons of certain generation 240sx (SR20 swap)
Hello Nissan people...
Ive been on this site for awhile now...but not really into Nissan until recently.
Im not a complete noob, I know the basics about 240sx's and SR20det swaps.
Question:
Im thinking about getting a 240 to throw an SR20 into.
Im not looking to make ass loads of power, Im getting the car primarily because I like the way it handles.
Is there a certain gen 240sx that has a better suspension set up than the other?
And is there a certain gen 240sx that the swap is harder/easier to do?
I owned a 95 SE for about a year, and I loved the way it drove.
Unfortunately, like an idiot, I sold it.
I like the way the 95-96 and the 97-98 gen's look.
But I know getting a 91-93 will be cheaper.
Besides costs, are there any benefits to getting a 91-93?
Thanks,
Mike.

seriously....go with what you like....they are the same car.
s14 weighs more, and has some minor diffrences, but its all the same in the end.
You have to look at it everyday.
You have to get the cash to buy it.
You have to decide what one is for you.
if its a daily driver, id say go s14. they are pimp.
if its gonan get beat, id say go s13, they have more junkers at the yard

ahh hell... my 13 isn't bad. I like the hatches myself, nice amounts of room. lots of parts for s13, they have like everything. s14 can tuck some killer wheels and rubber with no problems though. I think they can both be sick. S14's are a bit bigger, weigh more, but overall they are both nice. I like s13's though, just because of the ease of working on them, and they are all over the place. lol, i think they look better haha. As they said, you have to look at it in your driveway everyday. Here's a pic of my daily...

i like my zenki! normal headlamps rock..if only the s13's came w/ normal headlamps.. ::sigh::
the reasone for me having a s14..it doesnt have as much problems as s13..
but s13 is soo much easier to fix because of the vast quantity of parts available
s14 seems more designed towards comfort...which is better for me!
i'm still looking for the ultra-rare S15 240sx..no luck still

I personally prefer the S14, they have better handling. S13 parts needs to replace more often then S14 due to the fact that its a bit older. Like Tak said, S13 is for beater, while S14 is for daily driver. They both are easy to work on. S13 are only lighter by like 90 pounds. S14 are shorter and have less cabin space than S13, but are wider. So if youre short on money, just go with S13. They both are pretty good cars though. Theres no big dramatic difference between the 2. Suspension is almost the same.
If you need power, you dont need a SR swap. Just add simple bolt-ons and it would be fine. Theres plenty of basic information on TR and http://www.240sxforums.com/
