Default no 240's in USCC

I was looking through my sport compact car magazine and found that there are no 240sx's in this years ultimate street car challenge. everyone tells me this is the area for the best sr tuners in the country, so why don't some of you enter for next years competition. the entry form is in this months sport compact car. a 240 could win the competition. im nowhere near what is necessary to make it into the competition. can we convince someone from TR to enter...... PLEASE!

Or the new sharktank/fishbowl. Either would be a good starting point anyways.

$40k is about right. Plus you'd need some serious brain power and a lot of track time. 475ish hp would be competitive in the dyno category but would be hell on emissions. It'd also require one hell of a clutch, hurting driveability and potentially wadding up the tranny at the strip. Here's something else to consider: in the SCC battle of the beaters, their stock EVO MR lapped more than 2 seconds faster than Dave Coleman's heavily worked S13. And that's on a ~70 second lap.

Just to remind people, these are the categories scored in the USCC: Base Price, Grandma, Car Show, Guru Panel, Peak Power, Power Delivery, Emissions, Fuel Economy, Quarter Mile, 20-100mph, 60-0mph, Skidpad, Road Course, Gross Display of HP.

Discuss.

I want too enter that event so bad i can taste it. I need to get another sponsor to do it though. My car isnt quite there function wise. Form wise I would get laughed at for having duct tape on my hatch covering rust holes.

i think the main problem is that most 240 owners have single purpose built cars, and would fall behind in other catagories. not saying single purppose cars are wrong, but well rounded ones usually win.
also, it usually only has what? 12 cars? out of how many thousands that are sent in, and then voted on from a hundred or so?

what?? no roll cage and a full interior aren't race car. i think your motor in my car would kill everything. but grandma would hate it. and emissions, and braking with out ABS would be another problem.... base price, fule economy, 1/4 mile, road coarse, power dilevery, and gross display of hoarse power i could take care of.

I know that a car could be built for this competition. a previous comment someone said that the evo mr beat the 240 by 2 seconds on the lap time. remember 2 things. they found out that the 240 was only running low boost by accident and the track was wet.

also i think that John and Drifting DJ seem like they are the closest competitors. they should get together and somehow with TR's support enter to win. i know a 240 could do it. it is easily the most well rounded car to build. IMO. enter and see what happens. post something up on TR in general chat to tell people to vote for you and go to all the other 240sx websites for support also.
