no 240's in USCC
I'll have to dig up some old SCCs and find out what other 240sx's competed, and why they lost. It would be fairly straight forward to build a competitive car, but keeping it in one piece would be the hard part.
I'd say that TR's best bet would be to have Enjuku build it. They have the engineering talent, drivers, connections, and lots of experience with parts reliability. Plus, the red tires would pwn in the gross display of HP competition!

ok so what else would my car need to make it a contender? I know i would have to get rid of my raked suspension. I have 4 wheel steering, ABS, lsd. I can put down as much power as i want on my built motor now. So what chasis mods would i need? What mods would Enjuku do to an S-chasis to make it a USCC winner?

it would be nice to see a 240/silvia win it. the skyline finally won this year... i would like to think that my car could compete with the right tuning and the right driver, but i wouldn't want to torture my car like that... don't have the money to fix anything that breaks anyway!
i'll second enjuku making a uscc car. it'd def do good in the gross display of horsepower with the red tires.

DriftingDJ, Lets see here... First I'd kill the 4 wheel steering. You'll need an LSD better than a viscous; maybe a quaife or a clutch-type that doesn't shudder. Still in the rear, replacing all the bushings with a combination of spherical bushings and poly to get accuracy without harshness. You'll probably want brakes in the Brembo gran turismo league.
For power, upper 400's should be enough. Something slick in the turbo department (thermal coating, v-band, GT series, etc) would probably impress the nerds. Clutch selection is anyone's guess, but a hyper single wouldn't be enough. Don't forget that you'll be graded on driveability, so something crazy might not be the best idea. Going with a Z32 trans would score some technical points and be cost effective.
The part that people seem to be missing is that this car has to bling, too. I would enter no less than Charles' or John car and expect to do well in that category. They might also want to drop a few G's on a nice stereo as well. AC is a must. There are a lot of categories that don't involve going fast. It goes without saying that there should be a full interior with carpet in there. I'd put a minimal cage in it just for the stiffness, but make sure that grandma can still get in it. A nice passenger seat would seal the deal.
what do you guys think?
