not like theres a way to replace the clutch without pulling the tranny out, and s13 trannys go for usually around 65$
I agree, you will need access to a lift if you want to do a job like this on your own. The diffrence is , he needs to know what's wrong , before he buys anything.

Explain what you mean wont go into gear.

Can you shift it into gear when the engine is off? You should be able to, even if your clutch is bad. If you can't, then its your shifter or tranny im guessing.

Have someone push down the clutch pedal, and look on the tranny passenger side and make sure the slave cylinder is pushing.

If you can get the car in gear off, can you start it in gear with the clutch pressed down? Does the car sit there and idle, or does it jump forward and stall?

When in neutral, can you hold the clutch in, and when adjusting throttle slightly up and down, push it into gear without any brakes pushed?

Try some stuff out, let us know the results. It might be as simple as bleeding your clutch, or replacing the master or slave cylinder.

Diagnose.

Man, turkeyspot, you're really getting around to all the threads. The symptoms tell me 99% that it is NOT the synchros.

ehh so i like 240s lol, idk thats my only suggestion, or to chech the actual tranny fluid it might be low enough to drain out of the synchros when sitting that long.........

I cant get it in gearat all.....When I try with the car running to put it in 5th it grinds ever so slightly other then that I dont even get a kick back when trying to get it in gear. I checked the cylinder and it is moving i would say between 3/4 and 1 inch

If you can not get it in gear when the car is OFF. When the engine is not moving, then you have tranny problems. Replacing tranny, try again.

I have a funny feeling this isnt the case though. Make sure the car is off when you try this time. And look up and down the list I gave you, and make sure you try them.
