blueboost......you have to remember not one of Trav's major builds yet have driven without blowing up first..........Dion's QR25 turbo build, which he spent 10k on with trav, and has prolly put in another 10k to get it built right. Nordy's QR build (which blew TWO ENGINES....yes, that's the truth) which was a flop and why he went SR (which STILL travis couldn't do right), and this, which we have a vid of it idling. No dyno, no street driving.

It's cool, but I'll hold my props till I see it safely daily driving without blowing to shit.

That may be true but Im not going to condemn him for what I consider to be a positive effort. I think there is something to be said about this build and really I only wish to put this info out there for people to make of it what they choose. Maybe this will spark some new ideas. We won't ever know if its not out there for discussion.

You know, Im not interested in the soap opera drama surrounding travis, but I applaud his efforts and hope for the best.

Exa-friggin-zactly! The QR is 89x 100. Going with a stock SR crank, which is 86mm, yields only 2140cc's. So let me get this straight, someone spent huge bank to get 142 additional cc's over a stock SR, when they could have just sleeved that SR block and punched that one out to 2.1L. Who funds these things???

New ideas? What's wrong with the old ideas?

There are people that are interested in the potential of Nissans entire engine family, not just the SR, CA, and RB.

Would I do it? Hell no. Am I interested in the outcome? Abso-friggin-lutely. Its not your money, sit back and see what happens.

Is it Travis's money or another customer's money?

What I don't realize is why people don't think just anyone can do this work....

all you have to do is take the block to a machine shop with the SR crank. Have them machine it to fit. Then measure proper length for rods, and bam, you've got an SQR23DE. I think the n/a version of that would be badass, personally.
