buying a new clutch..need help.
i got sent a faulty clutch from Exedy and they wont replace it. So ive been forced to buy another new clutch.
im looking at an ACT stage 2.
Any reccomendations?
if this helps i drive a 200sx SE-R....fun little cars...till shit starts to break.

im not gonna need that much of a clutch for my current and future set up.
plus it would be a bitch of a clutch due to clutch cable.
stage 2 is perfect for me....and i just need a suggestion to go with the ACT or if there is another one out there for a good price...somehting other than exedy cuz they fucked me over.

i loved my oe nissan clutch in my b14.
it held everything i could throw at it. but my car was pretty much stock.
i kinda always felt with that weak of a tranny that its good to have a weak clutch, at least that way the clutch will go, and maybe save the tranny.

will the oe clutch that was on it was tooooast...in 4th and 5th gear youd be building up rpms but no speed...the clutch was burnt to hell...
and on the clutch i got from exedy...the pressure plate cracked and the clutch is burning itself up. so a new clutch as soon as i get my 400 bucks.

what is done to your car?
if its pretty much stock, you might want to look into the nissan key value clutch set. its around 200$. for the entire assy.
throwout bearing, clutch disc, and pressure plate. all nissan parts.

my car had cams, but i didnt drag race, and it was awesome for about 30k miles, until i wrecked it. worked great the whole time.

im upgrading to the stage 2 cuz im hopefully getting my new motor in the next few months....only need like 700 bucks and its mine. so i figured ill go ahead and get a good stage 2 clutch. how did you wreck your b 14?

dont waist your money on those clutches just go get a JGY/Competition clutch rated at 290lb tq. perfect for your motor your gonna drop in and its only like 289$. Oh and best thing about it is the pedal is soft as fuck. I should of let you feel it tonite but didnt know you needed a new clutch. Trust me on this one man!
