Default were to buy ka header?

well i removed my egr system the other day, and i decided instead of plugging the pipes, ill just buy an aftermarket header. i dont plan on doing an sr swap anytime soon, because my ka has a little over 100k. so its still in great shape. were can i find a good quality header? i really dont want to spend more than like 300, and i dont need there to be holes in the header for the egr pipes. were or what do you guys think would be a good header choice for the s13 dohc ka?

pretty much all headers that are street legal have the egr bung bro...i already told you this on your other post. I know pacesetters do, hotshots do, OBXs do, Nismos do...you're gonna have to block it off no matter what-unless you reconnect it like i reccommended. search for different brands and there "advertised" power gains to see which one produces the most hp.

ok. i can always thread in a bolt to block the openings anyways. megan has a header and downpipe combo for like 200 shipped. the welds look nice and all, so maybe its a quality piece. but i always thought megan was one of those "ebay companies" like crackhappy obx so ive never boughtfrom them. i went to their site and they actually look real professional and make a number of turbo products too, so maybe they are legit?

Fit and finish are excellent. still looks good after a year, no rust & no cracks. Not sure, so don't quote it as gospel, but I think the one Nismo parts sells is the Hotshot.

If you eliminated the egr use nickel technique like 11tybillion people before you. If you want a used header look for them on nissan boards for about 150-200shipped. Have fun and gains are 5-20 depending on the rest of the exhaust and motor shape.

It's a KA, so gains are neglible. however, with an intake and an exhaust, you will see a few HP in the mid to upper revs, however, you will lose a few HP in the bottom, more so now that it's hot as hell. you "might" see 15-20 hp with all this, but you will have a higher redline. Also consider the whole package will make your car louder.

btw, get a random cat. , it helps with exhaust.

BTW, Dave, how's the Ka-T? any new numbers? Word! Jesse will be back from Boston end of Sept, First of Oct. so let Jeff know if he doesn't already, we need to plan a bash.

well, i have a kn drop in and a apexi gt spec exhaust, so i figured a header would wrap things up nicely. and how big of a restriction would the stock cat be with these mods? something to even worry about? this will be the last "engine" part i buy for the ka.
