Cat makes a bigger difference on an S13 than S14. on S14, the cat is on the exhaust manifold and the second cat is actually hollow. I imagine the S13 cat is restrictive& old.

get the Catco cat from enjuku along with the header at the same time to save on shipping and labor time. Do it all at once.

also, bag the drop in K&N, I have a stillen 300zx K&N filter with an Injen tube and some rigging. I suggest you get the the 300zx K&N filter then go to an exhaust shop and fab the piping. save ya some $.

 

ok, i went ahead and bought the megan header/downpipe combo and bought a resonator to replace my cat. there is very little info on the net about this header, so i wanted to buy it and maybe have a sticky on my thoughts. for a good future reference. was a good price too. why are you running a z filter?you mean a cone filter?

 

Megan is hardly an "ebay" company, atleast when it comes to suspension, people bad mouth it, but i've heard matt (vassallo) only say good things about it...the company he works for sells them. Im not sure of thier other parts, maybe after you install it you can post about fitment, appearance, and gains from the mods?!

 

never seen the #'s on the megan in comparo to the hotshot. i just get the impression that megan is korean knock off

 

megan is highly underrated.

not to say they are the best by any means, by people hardly give them the credit they deserve.

 

megan is sorta new so alot of people are scared to try megan..they don't seem bad at all
hotshot is a good brand, so its pretty safe to buy

 

well it should be here in a few days, so ill make a good little review on it. maybe ill source info from around the net about the other headers too so we can make a header sticky?
