yea...sometimes those damned powersteering systems use fluid...

 

even the ones that are high pressure!...

 

Not to trash your thread or anything, but mine has the same problem it leaks im sure theres a bad hose. I use to fill it up every few days but once in awhile id forget and it would be on empty. Now even when i fill it, it makes this tapping sound when i turn. Did my pump go bad or something if anyone knows it would help out alot, so i can just buy the part myself.Thanks

 

Well it sure isn't the reservoir making that noise. $5 says that running your PS pump dry has killed it. The fluid isn't just for hydraulic motion, it's for lubrication, too.

 

so i should just replace the pump
