Default sr20det o2 sensor question.

i need an 02 sensor for my sr, i know that a secondary o2 from an obd2 s14 will work, but nobody seems to have one in stock.

is there another one that works?
does anyone want to be super awesome and sell me one?

also, if youve ever bought one how much, and where?
first place i checked was 80$ which seems pretty high for a downstream o2 sensor.

I replaced the O2 sensor on my brother's redtop with a bosch part from Discount. Cost about $65. I'll see if I can dig out the part number. By the way, blacktop and redtop O2s are different, you know.

all the second 02 is good for is measuring the efficiency of your Cat, but why not just go to a junk yard and have pants with pockets ...if you catch my drift. FREEBIE!

are you using the stock o2 elbow or an aftermarket one? redtops usually use a smaller style o2 sensor and blacktops use the larger o2 sensor. but most aftermarket o2 elbows, like the spl parts one i am using, use the larger sensor, like the blacktop uses. i just used a 94 300zx tt bosch o2 sensor from discount, it's roughly $69 IIRC.

Yes, the redtop and blacktop O2 sensors use different sized bungs. If you pony up the money for the Greddy O2 housing, you will be rewarded with the correct adapter to mount your redtop sensor (and an exhaust divider, too).

The redtop replacement O2 sensor is from an 87 300zx turbo. That's Bosch #13385. You'll have to de-pin and re-pin the connector, though. No big deal.
