how about ask the place that swpped it if they put the S14 KA temp sensor into your S13 motor. if not, it will read hot and get stupid when its not

I did all the work myself so unless someone changed the temp sensor before i got the motor than its the sr sensor. Will the stock s14 temp sensor plug right in to my new harness? or will i have to get a plug off a ka harness?

ok then thats your problem! its the SINGLE wire sensor (there are two water temp sensors) the red two wire plug is for the ecu. leave that one. the single wire one is for the gauge to read properly. remove the KA one and put it in the SR. the plug will plug right onto it.
