question on camlift.

Default question on camlift.

what would be the big differance between camshafts with 10.5 and 11.5 lift?
Im talking about 264 duration as well.

well, that's a mm of lift, that's a pretty big difference.......but for reference, I just installed some JWT S4's in my SE-R......266* 11.5mm....they're BADASS!

Here's my understanding, since no one else is chiming in... The longer the duration, the farther up the rpm band the torque peak will occur. The larger the lift, the higher the flow rate/power potential. So looking at a dyno plot, duration would move the torque curve left to right, lift would move it up and down.

Although I could be wrong.

not for high hp and high revs... sure the spool up will be 200rpms quicker than 264's but with 256 you will not be able to keep the powerband up top and the boost will decrease in high hp high boost setups. what kind of power do you wanna make?
for drifting I would do 256 step 2 intake 264 step 2 exhaust for like a 300hp setup
