Default i got a couple of SR questions

1 are the NAZ and SR clutch disks the same size? i think my disk is ate on the pressure plate side and i have a few of those sitting around...

2 how are you guys with S13 Black tops with r134 compressors having them mate up with the S13 r12 hoses? the are differnet sizes. the local place tired, and well failed.

thanks guys.

1. I put an enitre Nismo NAZ disk/pressure plate on my brother's car. I can't say that just an NAZ disk will work by itself, but both parts together worked for me. I want to say that they're both 240mm, though.

2. Which line doesn't fit? I know that 1 of the 2 dohc lines will have to be modded to fit any SR compressor, but I don't remember which one.

the same one, the one that runs to the evaporator. but most just use the KA compressor and swap out the line. the r134 one, the hose that gets swapped, port and the hose it's self is smaller.

i would rather run the r134 compressor cuz 1 the r12 compressor does not fit at all with the newer black top r134 compressor mounts. i think i can get 1 of the bottom bolts to line up, or both the tops if i grind off the lower support tabs. but i would rather not do that.

2 r134 is just a hell of a lot cheaper and i would think other than this hose issue, would be cheaper in the long run.

i was hopeing maybe there was a reducer adapter that fit from the S13 r12 stock line to the size that would be used for the r134. something like this, the male side larger than the female side and reduced the over thinkness of the line. i just need to fine the right size of the in and out. http://www.hoseandfittings.com/catal...6765.6821.6258

On the clutch issue, you are correct. There are a number of threads over on FA that address the issue, or at least there used to be. Secondly, in regards to the AC issue you may want to talk to Vikram as I know they encountered a similiar problem with the S14SR installation in Rinku's car over when it was at Conklin.

I had my SR lines grafted into my KA system Its not to bad, the only difference between R12 and R134 is the rubber o rings around the fittings
