Transmission issue (still)
Well i replaced the slave today (it was leaking). But the problem still exists , the transmission will drive fine at times and at times it will go into gear , and then start whirring/grinding like it's stuck inbetween gears. It usually only does this wheni come to take off from a start (in 1st) but if i put it in neutral afterwards it will stop , then i'll try to see if 2nd will go in ... nothing ... 3rd nothing 4th nothing , then i'll put it back in neutral and pump the clutch and it will just go right into gear ... (WEIRD!!) Could this be a worn pilot bushing (i did not replace this piece) I did replace the throwout bearing though.
I just replaced the master cylinder so both the slave and master clutch cylinders have been replaced and I'am just beginning to grasp the grim reality that maybe. I think that their is something within the transmission that is just broken, or not functioning right. It feels like it jumps out of gear at times so it's stuck inbetween N and a gear and at times it just does not want to go into gear ....(like the clutch isn't engaging). And at times it will just drive perfectly .... Could a worn out pilot bushing cause this ? Or is my transmission just bitting the dust ?

I’m definitely not one of the Nissan gurus but when I had a worn down pilot bearing it only made some clutch chatter. You really want to make sure you bled the system correctly and that the release fork is getting enough travel. get someone to pump the clutch, and watch the release fork... see if it moves further depending on how much you pump the clutch. You could also check pedal height...I once had the engaging point set too low and it made me grind trying to get into gears.
Does it still grind if you double clutch it? It could be bad synchros. If that’s the case I would probably pick one off from the classifieds link. I see Ka trannys go all the time for like a hundred bucks.

, ... that is the weird problem it doesn't happen all the time. I mean if it did , it would obviously be the synchronizers and i would just get another SR transmission. I'am going to take the car over to durden perfab and see what taylor has to say. If the transmission must come off the car to be diagnosed ... i might as well save up. I just hope the car will be able to make it to safety habor and back.
