well it wont cost as much as you may be thinking...if you know how to do the swap i.e. know how to do the wiring harness, installing the engine, hooking up sensors, that such, it shouldnt be that much

you may have to fabricate some things in the 240 before that I-6 goes in though, i want to let you know i dont know to much but for a stock RB25DET 240 running it would probably be...

whole R33 front clip (RB25DET) - possibly in the 3000$ range including tranny, ignitor chip, sensors, wiring harness, turbo, turbo manifold, all that shit

240 shell - anywhere from 200$ to 1500$, depends on if you get a hatch or coupe, coupes will run you more because they mostly made those in automatic, 5spd is rare

your possibly looking at a 4000$ budget maybe more maybe less...once the engine is in and working then you can mod it, unless you want to build up the block and stuff its alot easier to put parts on the engine when its sitting on the hoist

i dont know much dont flame me if im wrong but i think im correct...i stick more to the SR20 just because its lighter, and can hold up to the 450 hp range on stock internals dont know much about the skyline engines

This Swap IS NOT as difficult as you may think. I got an RB25DET in Stock by the way if your looking for one. My 89' Skyline has an RB25DET, and I can just tell you, it's an awesome motor, 250 hp. I have helped do 1 RB25DET into 240 swap here, and as far as I can remember, we did not run into any major difficulties. Good Luck.

This topic has been discussed SO many times, it isn't even worth discussing. Do a search in this forum.

yeah nothing is a "difficulty" if you can fabricate. If not then have fun. I seriously doubt the engine will "bolt-in".

there are kits out there.

let me tell you now.. ive done about 5-6 of these swaps and i was unimpressed! sure its 50 more hp than an SR, but its also 300lbs more, too! the car feels front end heavy. you wont have a/c and the motor mount kits will run you about 1100 or so from mckinney (comes with driveshaft and all). i can do you harness for $450. the motor bolts in with the mount kit, but leaves hardly anyroom in the engine bay for anything else. intercooler plumbing is a PITA. you will also have to modify (alot) the turbo outlet pipe to clear the steering shaft... your tach wont work, so get an aftermarket.
