Default z32 Water Lock

Hey i've got a z32 non TT 300zx. I hit some serious deep water the other day and the car stalled tryin to get out. Long story short, i changed the starter and it still wouldnt turn. I just dropped the oil and there is a LOT of water in my oil...So ok, i had water lock. Does that mean its definitely rebuild time? or can i just change the oil, and try to shop vac the water out of the cylinder. I dont think the motor overheated because it was a pretty quick stall out. Any Suggestions would be great. thanx.

My ex had this happen a long time ago...she bent a rod. Have you taken the plugs out and cranked the motor over? More than likely you have a bad case of hydro lock and will need a new motor/rebuild.

7k for a NA rebuild, Damn you could do a OEM rebuild and TT it for that much if you do the work your self.

S13NewB, Just do a stock rebuild yourself and save a lot of money. Let me know if you need any OEM or aftermarket Parts, I can get you some pretty good prices. Email me if you want a quote on a rebuild.

yeah, time for a rebuild. get some eagle rods and check your pistons and get new bearings and rings and get your heads service. when you get the block vatted, light honed and balanced.

don't take chances with Jspec VG30's. importers don't check them out as much as SRs. i have seem many a horror story about Jspecs.

sure it may take a few extra bucks, but you will know it's all new and clean.

when i rebuit mine it was about 1500 for all the new parts and Mech work. and i re-built and installed it myself.
