Sorry. Didn't realize that asking to see the oil pan is a stupid question. Seeing as many (a majority?) of motors sold without the clip get a damaged oil pan at the oil pump pickup. Failure to see this results in catastrophic engine damage. But.. you're right. That is a stupid thing to ask.
As for the valvecover.. I have my reasons. And it's not to see what color or shape it is.

actually, jeff... you ALWAYS pull off the oil pan anyways. even if it looks good, its dented.
