OMG! Best joke ever! ...every other modded G20! I see more G20's at cophers in 1 hour than I do all week commuting to work. If you're trying to distinguish yourself among G20 owners, then you are completely retarded. Simply owning a G20 is unique in itself. I could count the number of modded G20's I've ever seen on one hand with 3 fingers cut off.

Now that we've got that out of the way....

If you don't want to use the SR, I think you're pretty screwed. I seriously doubt that a VG or VQ would fit in the engine bay. They are pretty wide motors, and I doubt the compartment has enough length. You barely have enough room for an inline 4, an intake manifold, and a turbo between the firewall and radiator.

 

If you are asking if a maxima motor will fit in a G20, then I would stay away from a GTi-R or a VE motor. Someone who thinks a V6 motor "be sick" should not put a motor in their car with no replacement parts available. But hey its your dream but when u decide to do it I have a pulsar motor I'm willing to let go of

 

will it fit? anything can fit into anything, if you want it to.
is it practical? no.
is it a good idea? no.
is it actually making the car worse? yes.
would a built sr20det, or de be faster and less problematic? yes.

do i think after reading this post that you or your roommate have the fabrication skills to make either one work? not at all.
