Default SR20DE Possible Swap?

The SR20DE is out in the market, so why am I not hearing much about motor swaps on them? I know that most ppl would rather do the turbo swap on them, but N/A kills turbo on corners.

Anyone know where i can get the sr20de motor? Maybe Mr. Taka can help?

hey umm.. NA KA24DE has like 155hp and its a whopping 2.4L
while the S14 SR20DE with VVL [variable valve lift] has 180hp and is more powerful and lighter.
the car's balance is improved too.
SR20DE > KA24DE
don't forget fuel economy! =]

those numbers are a little off.
a rwd sr20de feels like a sohc ka. but smoother.

its just a better platform.

Wrong Bandwagon aziandrifterX

Only SR motor with VVL is the SR20VE, SR16VE, and SR20VET
The RWD SR20DET's for the S14s only have a variable cam timing, not the valves..but back to the point

Why waste the money on a RWD SR20DE when a SR20DET isnt much more and is a stronger motor. It will beat a n/a car around turns it just cant have a cheap 240sx owner who welds the diff driving it.

well as long as you dont slap a t67 on your sr20det and stick with a t25 or t28 (s15 would be perfect), you can make those n/a cars cry in the corners.

john?! all motor sucks? goodthing that statement isn't biased... no replacement for displacement when it comes to all motor. NA doesn't have as much potential as a turbo car but response is much better, and with the 240 you don't need a motor swap (convenient). instead of spending 2500 on a swap, i can put 2500 into a ka and have a badass all motor...but all the sr would have to do is turn up boost and get injectors. Classic rivals...
and about the corners thing...the NA kills the turbo on the corners because the turbo encapulators fluid is gravity sensative.
