Ok so i was driving down the road and i noticed my temp gauge rising sharply...fans were on and engine didn't seem to be too hot, but i don't know...im gonna wait till it cools down and fuckin drive it home cold. Im hoping its my temp sensor...but i dunno. If my water pump (brand new) is spinning (belt is fine) fans are pulling the correct way, top hose isn't as hot as it seems like it would be right under the H on the gauge. And every time i hit the accelerator the temp gauge climbed with the throttle but didn't come back down...just stayed up. Any other ideas guys?

 

I would bleed your coolant, maybe your radiator cap is going bad and not keeping the pressure and it will leak water out slowly causing air in your radiator.

 

Always a good idea to check the radiator cap, burp the system, and maybe even check the thermostat to be sure it's opening right. A new water pump COULD be defective, but the other things are simpler to check first, right?

i had the exact problem and it ended up being my temp sending unit

 

Make that 2nd new water pump my 3rd! damn thing broke AGAIN CHEAP ASS PARTS
