sc50 vs. gt35r
alright my buddy has a precision sc50 turbo on his car he just bought a full race top mount manifold, hes thinking about upgrading to a gt35r, what kind of spool up does a gt35r have on an sr20det, he has all the necessary parts fuel mods etc. to max up the sc50, hes just wanting to see if the spool up on the gt35r at the same boost level would be less or not. or even if its worth upgrading to. his hp goals are high 400 low 500whp, was considering a gt30r but being only $100 or 2 cheaper than the gt35r it wouldnt really make much sense.
It depends which SC50 he has.
Can you get us all of the information on the SC50? A GT35R .82 will spool around 5000 rpm or so, with a full-race manifold and 264 step 2 cams.

yeah, and we're not even taking boost levels into account. some of the guys like the mitsubishi guys and waht not love to run 28-30psi of boost, and get high horsepower out of much smaller turbos, whereas the Nissan guys are all about 20-22psi max boost... that can add another 80 hp just by cranking the turbocharger more.

yeah thats what i figured, what about a gt3040r heard there really good and spool quick, hes thinking about running 24psi max with race gas, what would be a good guess at what rpm he could hit full boost say at 18psi.
mark.
mark.
