Default feasibility of SR swap

First off, this isn't the proverbial 'how much to do an SR swap' question. I was wondering if it was a real possibility to do an SR swap, out htte door for 2000 to 2500, including buying the car. I know thissounds realy low, but I figured if you can find a car for cheap thats not running/needs some work, and if you could do the swap work your self, you could maybe do it. Also, I don;t plan to run A/C, or have an int. as it would be my non d.d. car, so that would take some ofthe hassle out, as well. Thanks for the response in advance.

damn man, People say that 240 guys are cheap, but that takes the cake. Sure it's feasible, if the planets align and you find the right parts at the right time...

Recipe for disaster:
$400 car.
$1600 gnarly eBay clip.
$400 delivery.
$100 heater hoses, fluids, misc.
$0 weekend inflicting bodily injury trying to swap.

Grand total: $2500 for a car that's not registered or insured, more than likely has rod knock, stock clutch, stock DP, SMIC, steelies with bald tires, no compression on #3, stock catback, and all of the other fine points of a 15 year old car. This also assumes that you already have a hoist, know how to wire the harness, a working battery, and the $400 beauty is already a 5sp without major problems.

"Yeah, You can do it... but that doesn't mean it's to be done. You can drive a car with your feet if you want to. That doesn't make it a good fcuking idea!" -Chris Rock

great quote btw. I would say for $3000 you could have a decent sr powered car that would probably need some body/interior work, but if its gonna be custom it would be a great way to start out with little waste.

I was just tossing the idea around, seeing if it was doable, if/when I do a swap, I'll hopefully have more money than that.

I say it's as feasible as winning the lottery. You could find a decent 240 for 2G and spend an additional $500.00 on some NOS and get to 200rwhp. This would be a little more feasible rather than to think that you are going to do a SR swap.

Who's aspiring? I don't drift. Hell I don't even know who Fungii Nagasaki is. Sounds like a distant relative to bruce lee.

i think its more than possible.
buy a beat to shit car, buy a motorset for 1500 or less.
no intercooler.
it will be a 240 with an sr.
but not very nice.

id either buy a nice twin cam, and turbo that later, or save your money and do everything.
