s14 KA to S13 KA swap info needed.
Whooo, finally got an engine for my car. I must thank Jesse for practically letting me steal this engine.
I know the emissions crap is different between the two engines but will the S13 just bolt right in and plug-n-play or is there some chit that need to be modded. Searched the internet quite extensively and can't find the info Im looking for. Also, where is that write up on removing all the emissions bs on these engines?

Oh well in that case, I have no idea what can be removed and what not, but I think you'll need to order a intake manifold gasket. S13 have different sensors than a S14, I think?
Good LUck

Hello!
You'll have a ton of OBDII sensors/wiring that'll be hanging free. Perhaps you could find yourself an S13 KA ECU and wiring harness to clean things up. (Check XAT).
That'll put you one step closer to an Enthalpy ROM tune for your KA-T!
Jesse
PS - You didn't steal it, I was gracious considering you have no car plus some fokker made you crash your street bike. Just trying to give you a leg to stand on man

swap your in manis. dont use the shit paper gaskets. use rtv. works for me and others.
swap distributors.
weld shut egr hole on bottom plenum.
weld shut 4 pcv returns, then run pcv exit line to catch can then MUST run it to intake vacuum (tee in the valve cover one to the line going to the intake pipe too for a functional pcv system)
weld the other stupid things shut, except for the iacv, iacv-ficd (if you are going to run a/c), fpr source, and brake booster source. run the fpr line to a vacuum manifold box and then run your bov,wg, guage, boost controller, etc off there.
use the s14 tranny, accessories. they all match up. if you use s13 ecu and harness things will have to be done differently obviously.
so fresh and so clean.
i wish i had a real spare motor and not this disassembled pile of shit here.
ps are you building or just plopping in?

Dan, thanks for the info and I'm just 'plopping' it in so I can have my car back. I am going to slowly build the S14 engine while its out and then re-swap. After all this I should be able to snatch and drop 240 engines in my sleep. haha
