Default sr20de-t vs sr20det

If a sr20de block was used with gti-r rods, arias 8.5.1 pistons, ...etc...would it be the same as a sr20det block with these parts? I guess what im trying to ask is......Does the sr20det block have something the sr20de doesnt? Do all sr20det fwd motors use the same oil pan? I received a 91 - 94 BB sr20det oil pan today and it didnt fit my engine which i was told is a 95+ BB. My pan is bigger.Does this mean i have a sr20de block?

Thank you,

Norlandt

Why don't you ask your engine builder?

I think the only difference is that the n/a sr20de doesnt have the oil squirters in the block and the compression is 9.0-1 instead of the normal 8.5, I might be wrong on the numbers but its close enough.

Honestly this kid is asking tons of questions about his setup that I personally think he should ask his builder about. His builder will be able to answer the questions more than we will..

I have to agree with Matt on this one. Perhaps your builder has given you something different than what you paid for. Wouldn't you like to know yourself?

Yes, but my builder seems to have disappeared. Also, he lives in Louisiana. I can never get a hold of him. I dont want to say too much because it will get ugly. What i will say is that....i need help. Im afraid that maybe i was given an sr20de instead of a sr20det. I have to find the engine code on the block or something. I dont even know what to think anymore.....

Also, the reason because i ask you guys is because i know you guys are experienced with the sr20 and i trust what you say. I dont know too much about the sr20 but i have learned alot about it here on the boards. U think that i dont want to get my builder to fix all these problems that my car has? Heh, i hate having to spend more money and doing it all myself. But its cool, he's a good guy but shit happens...even though it shouldnt have happened......

well, i don't know what to tell you other than try and find someone locally who knows his stuff.

there's a guy named jay whitely that does very good work on front wheel drive nissans. granted it will take a year and lots of money for him to touch it, but it will be done very meticulously.
