I think the SC's have faired better in the rods because the power is not added so suddenly like with the TT but they had intial problems with burning through on pistons due to poor tuning and lean conditions, the TT's have snapped rods I think because of the sudden power that you get, I think that 6 pounds of boost is good and safe for daily driving as the power increase is not as big you get around 330, 8 pounds is good for occasional use and gets you around the 380 range but I wont use it regularly.

You **THINK** you have all that is needed in the kit, till you have to add another $1000.00 worth of equipment to the $6000.00 spent on the kit already.... Just think if we have it installed by somebody else, thats another $2000.00 give or take. Glade **IM** not paying for any of this!! Any suggestions on what BOV to get? What Turbo Timer? No fancy lights and sounds needed. Just want a BASIC TT. (If they still make such a TT. )
Thanks.....
I got the Walbro 255 pump, you have to modify the casing slightly on the holder but fits OK.

The emanage will take care of your fuel needs but here is a list of what I got in addition to the Greddy Kit:
1. Type S Greddy BOV (1 ea)
2. Greddy e01 boost controller (serves as 3 gages and program emanage)
3. Pressure harness to run emanage using boost instead of MAF
4. PLX Devices wideband 02 sensor to keep track of AF ratio
5. J&S Safeguard to retard timing
6. Parts to make fuel return system (hoses/FPR/modified rails)
7. Walbro 255 Fuel pump

The pump is probably not needed if you keep the stock setting on the kit as it will be rich as hell from Greddy and the fuel return system is not needed unless you want to boost higher than 8 pounds, I am installing it for future engine rebuild and higher boost.

Thanks Westpak. Im sure Dad is not a Boost monster, so Im sure he will leave it at stock setting. On the other hand if it were mine, thats a whole nother story.... He is pushing 65+ so I think 5-6 LBS of boost is fine. He went to his 350Z club Christmas party and a few guys were giving him some advice.... Fuel pump, TT, BOV ect, ect. I told him I was getting some info/advice from a guy in Orlando area and he asked me if it was....... Westpak? I was like, How the hell did you know that?? He is in the 350Z club here in Tampa. (I guess the 2 clubs talk.) I want to thank you again for all the advice you have provided.

Dont take well to TURBO boost? How is boost any different depending how it is compressed.

If the turbo kits are doing bad its because of the tuning and delivery that comes with the kit. Just means the supercharger is providing a better fuel injection map for the motor than the turbo is.

Boost is boost however you look at it......

Also take into consideration the 10:3 stock compression ratio. When you run 6 lbs of boost on that, it will be pretty high. Greddy has known they have had tuning issues on their ecu as far as the fuel maps being way off and causing people to go really lean. Their is a combination of things causing the kits to go wrong..

Yes boost is boost but the TT kits see full boost a lot sooner and quicker than the SC kits do.

If you look at dyno's of the two they may end up with similar peak power numbers but from 4500 to 5500 the TT kit has 30-40 HP more than the SC.

What I am saying is that the SC brings on the boost gradually while the TT kicks it in hard therefore probably stressing the internals more, my guess not scientific.
