Throw-out bearing is making some noise...
So how long do I have till I start having problems? I don't think the clutch is that old...and grips nicely, but the bearing makes some noise when the car is out of gear and idling.

My throwout bearing has been squeeling off and on for about 2 years now..hehe.
I think it is these cheap ass ones that come from auto zone or something, because I had this happen before and the bearing came apart and was thrashing around, broke a couple springs on my clutch plate.
Right now, mine just makes noise every so often.
It is just such a pain in the ass to change the clutch that I haven't bothered.
So, as dr.octogon said, could be tomorrow or could be like mine.

Meh, its not that bad to change clutches, I changed clutches and diffs with Will Smith in 6 hours, just the 2 of us and no air tools. Including the trip to get the flywheel resurfaced. Course its not easy by any means, but its doable.

Doable is not the issue....$$$ is.
I won't have the money to replace it till Feb at the earliest....and in the meantime, I'm doing both I-4 Drift and DDAY5 this month.
Oh well....we will see how she holds up.

ill replace your TOB for $70 including the bearing. i need money bad. i have to live on my own starting the end of january. i can do it in less than 3 hours. sometimes 2 unless other things need to be done. for a little extra ill try and get a flywheel to have it resurfaced before hand and use yours as a core if its factory if you want to do a clutch install too.

usually the TOB is going when it starts making alot of noise with the clutch pedal pressed IN. mine did it when i bought my car back in '01. lucky me the clutch decided to explode a few weeks later, so i conveniently got to change it all out at once.
when mine went out everytime i would press on the clutch it sounded like rusty metal scraping together plus when you let off the clutch yopu could feel it not wanting to release.....let buck do your TOB he did mine in like 3hours and it was fine after that Bucks the shizit
