Default SR to KA: dash, defrost, and data plug question

As some of you may have seen my other post that I deleted after I found the info I was lacking, im in the middle of my SR swap.

BT S13 SR
BT PRS13 5sp Harness
Red top ECU
S13 coup (auto)

Ok I got all the main plugs and stuff done today at work. So im down to F1/M35 plugs. (dash, defrost, and data plug)

On the SR harness I have left over.

Green/orange
Blue/white
Orange/black

On the KA side I have

Green /yellow (defrost relay)

which one should i connect to the G/Y

I have connected
Green to Green
Blk to blk
Red to red
Green/white to green/white
Blue/green to blue green
Green/black to green/black
Yellow/green to yellow/green
Yellow/red to yellow/red
Org to org
And finally
Blue/black to blue/black

Thanks

Green/yellow is for controlling the auto tranny, which I assume that you don't have. Pay no attention to the foldout in the FSM, if you look on the defroster page, it doesn't mention F1/M53. Tracing the G/Y on the foldout also leads you to an Auto/Man option. Must be a typo in the FSM.

I think Blue/white is the ambient air temp sensor, which would go the digital climate control that you don't have. I'm still trying to figure out what the others do....

actually, Grn/Org is neutral safety switch

Grn/Ylw has to do with the A/C from F9/F10 and goes all the way to the ECU. its what triggers the A/C relay on the chassis

Blu/Wht you can delete

Org/Blk you can delete. there are twon Org/Blks on an auto harness. one is for the shifter resistor (its paired with a pink wire) and the other is for the boost soleniod.

BTW, disconnect the Ylw/Grn wire. thats speed cut (disconnect the tranny sensors, too - except for VSS and the sensor closest to the bell housing. thats reverse lights)

i wouldnt worry about making the consult port work. noone around here really uses them anyways. IMO, the ecu LED will tell you everything you need to know anyways.

just hook up the

black (ground)
Ylw/Red (tach signal)
Blu/Blk (temp gauge)
Red to the Red/Wht (MIL Lamp)
Blu/Grn (a/c switch)
Org (start signal)

de-pin the other wires for sake of a clean install

hmm ok i under stand about the tranny cuts. i will dissconnect those, thank you.

but does the blu/white have to do with the defrost? or something else?

did the j spec`s even have defrost?

i do live up here in GA and we have had ice 3 days this week so far. =\ so it is for me needed.

how bad off is the wiring diagram for that circuit? i guess i can just re-run my own wires. just wondering what works and what dosen't if some one has already shot the system.

i think i need longer leads on my Fluck.

thank you all for the help.

the harness has NOTHING to do with defrost. the defrost is on its own ciruit independant from the engine harness. just remove the damn blue/wht wire.

TRUST ME i have done 87486538638653864238624 harnesses and have never had one where the defrost didnt work

ok ok :ducks:,

you said the Green/ yellow are AC related, the SR side of the brown plug (one by the batt) has 2 green/yellow and the K/A side has a Black/yellow. =\

i wish i had a digi cam. the auto KA wiring and BT SR 5sp harness is a little different than i have been reading up on. Mainly the KA side seems to has the majority of differences in it. the SR has had a few.

thank you for you time. i appreciate it, along with every one that has helped.

ok here is my harness part number

24011-50F60
1 a
any idea, any one? make model type of SR 20 this goes to, or if it's even a SR20 harness?

i ask BC the info i have been looking at reguarding the SR20det ECU harness plug and pin outs (mainly the plug design and pin location) do not match at all. grrrrr so so not im wondering if i need to deping it and use the KA plug, if it even fits..

or is there a differnet way to read the pin out than the ones i see, or how about any one with decent pics of the harness plug/wires?

:bbb:
