i got it worked out, thank you, taylor.

i spent most of the rest of the day, ohming out, shooting, and tracing the wires back to the ECU that i didn't know what they went to.

i usually do this kinda thing for air craft cables and i was just not useing commen sense. i had the guides from HT and SCC and some others. and i was kinda working blind, (color to color) then i was able to get the SR ECU pin out and some of the wireing shamatics, but when looking at the ECU pin out map i didn't flip it for the plug side and i freaked out. =\ i feel soo stupid now. but i was able to trace down and check everything i wanted to and then some.

once agian. thank you all.

ok, stupid question.

im here at work finishing up the harness, re-wrapping it and lenthing the PS/ MAF and 02

but i was looking at the KA harness, as for the plug that goes to the dash, what color is it...........

cuz the white one from the KA doesn't match up like the brown one did from the KA to the SR harness.

=\ i think i will be doing a bit of rework. =\

im guessing the brown one goes to the consolet and the white to the dash.

there was 1 plug off the SR harness white, with these wires:

gr/rd
gr
ye/gr
gr/bk
gr/wh
bl/wh
or/bl

main wires to connect
bl/bk
bl/gr
org
blk
ye/re
red/wh

which all matched up with the KA brown plug

and the KA white plug has

gr/bl
ye/wh
ye/gr
light green/red
white bl
bkl
light green/blk
ye/red

br/ye
grn
brn/wh
grn/yegrn blk
grn/org

no red
no org
no blue/black

:off to look at KA ECU wireing diagrams:

single cam 240SX's (89-90) had a white cluster plug

twin cam 240SX's (91-94) had a brown cluster plug.

the cluster plug is the one that goes up behind the glove box.

this should be the only plug inside the cabin of the car (besides the ECU plug)

if there is another plug off the harness inside the cab where the plastic holder makes a 90 degree turn behind the blower motor it will be the plug for the automatic ecu. to tell if you have an auto SR harness, look at the TPS sensor plug. if its 3 wires, its manual. if its 6 wires, its auto. do not worry about the second plug then.

is the 240 youre puytting this motor into a HICAS? does it have ABS? if so, this opens up a whole new world of headaches, bc then you have to strip the ABS sensor wires from the KA harness and graft them into the SR harness, etc.....

ahh that's it! thank, you saved me again, i'll buy you a few beers or dinner next time im down, which i think will be next week at the monthly meet. you have no idea, well maybe you do, how much you have saved me.

it's the auto connector for the KA. the white/ brown plug was confusing the hell out of me. all the pic and info i have seen as i rechecked everything had the cluster as white. and nothing as brown. so i was wondering where the hell the white plug goes sense none of the wires match up. this F`n wireing diagram all AFU. the mapper needs to be shot.

the 240 im useing is a 93 auto, coup, base model, blue and im putting in a s13 BT SR and a s13 BT harness.
