As for the hwy, the 89-94 sr/ka trans works pretty well for that because the gears are longer and lets just say, I don't hesitate to run vets or vipers on top end

The advantage of the 300z trans, if done correctly is that it fits in with no modification to the tunnel. Also, if done correctly, you can use the factory starter, slave cylinder, clutch, flywheel, throw out bearing and fork. With any of the 6 speed most of the parts have to be different and the adjustment on the clutch woill adjust far enough to accomodate the spacer being used to change the bolt pattern. Oh, also the 300z trans fits into the car better than the stock bellhousing. Trust me on that,I've swapped the transmission out in mine numerous times. After some test runs Dave -owner of www.turbodave.com is looking at selling the upgrade and doing all fabrication in house for the setup, but that will be determined after testing this weekend.

prolly wouldn't last as long as the KA/SR tranny.
glad i have an extra TT tranny in my garage in case my SR one craps out, along with lighten fly and HD clutch. i woundn't htink twice about tossing that in there is this kit works out.
the starter is so easy to get to vrs the SR/ka it isn't funny.
of course a custom DS would be needed sense the Z's out put shaft is larger.
i wonder what the odds are that a NA drive shaft would fit.

I think the ka/sr is rated up to 350 without a slipping clutch. With a slipping clutch I know enjuku is running theirs on stock transmisssions with their 2nd car(not the red one) and are going through transmissions. The 350z trans should hold 600-650 rwhp without a slipping clutch. I just wanted over kill with the 300z trans holding 850-950 rwhp.

I know the t56 is a pretty bulky tranny from my ford experiances. Who is the 350Z tranny made by (if not by Tremec than who in otherwords). I'm never going to push enough HP to break it, I just don't like spinning 3k @ decent cruising speeds or going through the sacrifice of putting in a taller rear gear which doesn't even exist unless custom made.
