IF you dont have a FSM goto www.zeroyon.com and dl one which should give you a general idea of what/where you are looking for. Not sure for your make/model but its usually right near/next to the tb having 1 or 2 wires coming from it.
Also...try google and/or some of the other Nissan Boards for more info.
its on the front of the intake manifold. should be red plastic with a hex nut under that.. and one wire going to it.
make sure the car is cold when you replce it.. or hot coolant will most likely spray on you.
replace it, and make sure all the cpins are tight on the harness, and clean them with dielectric cleaner if there is corrosion.
and it will still run so-so.

well I tryed the sensor and it didn't help one bit, I ran of of all ideas, so I think I will suck it up and swap a dual cam if i can't find this problem. does anybody have a complete dual cam just lying around, harness, ecu, or anything I will need to swap? I've got cash or paypal.

call XAT for the DOHC motor and swap parts ......813-875-7223
the SOHC 's problem is probaly some lil stupid ass wire or MAF causing all the problems . you mentioned changing the maf and coil but were they used parts ? disributor pos ?
get a DOHC, with all the SR'S running around
i know they're is plenty.
don't tell your mom you seen me !!!!
