Default automatic seatbelts

Has anyone here experienced the auto seatbelts not returning from open door position in an S13?

Mine do it every once and a while and it is quite annoying.
Any solutions to fix this problem?

How hard is it to install s14 shoulder belts?

My auto belts would get hung up at the top of the b-pillar every now and then. The S14 belts are a bolt in affair. Just pull back the interior A-pillars, B-pillars, door sills, and rear side panels. From there its just a bunch of 10mm and 14mm bolts.

or you could take your car to nissan and have them fix it for free. seat belts are a safety issue so i think they still have to fix them no matter how old your car gets. but the s14 belts are better anyway. i have a set but i'm not sure i want to sell them. the color doesn't match my interior though so i haven't put them in yet and my auto belts work fine.

can you install the s14 belts, and still keep the interior panels?
like maybe cut a hole out or something?

I was curious about bringing it to nissan, I thought that they would have to fix it too. I'll look into it.

I don't mind having to remove interior panels though.
Thanks for all the feedback.
I just wanted to get this done before dday4

first two mods to any s13:
1. get rid of automatic seatbelts in favor of manual ones
2. get rid of clutch loop box

yes, you can keep your panels. I'll post some picks of mine installed with panels later today.
