automatic seatbelts
Has anyone here experienced the auto seatbelts not returning from open door position in an S13?
Mine do it every once and a while and it is quite annoying. Any solutions to fix this problem? How hard is it to install s14 shoulder belts? |
My auto belts would get hung up at the top of the b-pillar every now and then. The S14 belts are a bolt in affair. Just pull back the interior A-pillars, B-pillars, door sills, and rear side panels. From there its just a bunch of 10mm and 14mm bolts.

excellent.. now it is a matter of finding some s14 seatbelts that aren't all sun rotted from being in a junk yard.

or you could take your car to nissan and have them fix it for free. seat belts are a safety issue so i think they still have to fix them no matter how old your car gets. but the s14 belts are better anyway. i have a set but i'm not sure i want to sell them. the color doesn't match my interior though so i haven't put them in yet and my auto belts work fine.

can you install the s14 belts, and still keep the interior panels?
like maybe cut a hole out or something? |
I was curious about bringing it to nissan, I thought that they would have to fix it too. I'll look into it.
I don't mind having to remove interior panels though. Thanks for all the feedback. I just wanted to get this done before dday4 |
first two mods to any s13:
1. get rid of automatic seatbelts in favor of manual ones 2. get rid of clutch loop box |
clutch loop box?
