wouldnt it smoke all the time then?

 

I've seen CA's smoke like that under boost. It was definitly the turbo, which actually had bad everything and a snapped shaft. It just slightly smoked at idle and putting around, but any level of boost would trigger smoke mode. My brother's turbo , on the other hand, only had bad seals, and the smoke wasn't that bad under boost. Grab a cheap T25 and be done.

 

if its whiteish then i would say a blown head gasket. or a blown turbo.

 

 

usually though, bad turbo seals only smoke at idle and spool down, but not too much during boost periods. mine would let out MASSIVE amounts of smoke at idle and when i let off, but under load.. no smoke.

im going to say rings and/or REALLY bad valve guide seals which usually smoke only during start up and hard acceleration.

Yeah I was thinking.. I've seen bad turbo seals and it smokes a damn lot at idle.

 

yeah, but will it go away ? ive already driven it about 15 miles since dropping the oil level to normal.
