Walbro fuel pump install notes.
This thread has motivated me to put an OEM sock on my Walbro. I have had less ability to run the tank down since swapping that Walbro sock in there.
What did you do? Mine did the same thing, I had the assembly out of the tank for a while and even though I took care to handle the assembly gently because the VFAQ mentioned possibly breaking the fuel gauge sender, when I put it back in the gauge didn't work. Not that I have missed the gas gauge for the year and a half since then.

mine came with instructions.....pretty easy hehe
seemed easy to me...only place I encountered was the fuel lever assembly...the fuel level "reader" i guess kind of went dry and no longer worked so we did a couple tricks with some sandpaper and back to normal....(it caused the gas gauge to not read anything)

Cool, thanks man. I was asking 'cause I was unable to get the cap to seat tightly against the plate w/ the fuel lines and stuff. It's just a hair too loose and hitting it w/ a screw driver manages to ream off the knurled edges so I don;t wann do that.
Reason I was wondering is because my car still stutters when not under boost and I am just grasping at straws. I'm to the point to taking it to a shop and paying someone to go over the whole thing to figure it out.
