Default power steering question

Alright, I searched and didnt find anything about this. My power steering (ka24de) is leaking from the bolt that goes through the top hose on the pump. Should I just try and tighten the bolt or should I take it out and maybe put some teflon tape on the bolt or some type of silicone sealant?? It's not a steady drip but I have to refill once a day or at least once every other day. Thanks.

Take the bolt out of the banjo fitting. There is one brass ring on top of the hose and one under it. Where the bolt threads into is like a big hex-bolt itself. remove it. in the middle (above the threads) there is an o-ring. replace it + tighten.

maybe you should try the dealership. I mean, they're only like $.50 a piece. Home depot and the rest probably won't have the correct Metric size.

well deal with no powersteering until you get the right part better to do it right and do it once. And don't just "tighten the bolt" bad advice...torque it down to the specification in your FSM.

take the rings and the washers to autozone/advance/pep boys. They have assortments behind the counter that they can match it up with. If not, try an ace hardware - they have almost anything in that department.

i wouldnt worry about the o-ring.. it hardly ever leaks.

replace the crush washers, and youll be fine

remember, that bolts takes a 15/16" size socket!
