Angry mechanics help

Wow, its been forever since ive been to the forum but i really need some help. My car is slowly goin to shit its a 96 240 all pretty much stock for now. The problem is when i drive it starts to jerk and lundge as if it wasnt getting enough fuel, then i lose complete power like the car stalls(no stearing, stiff brake, all engine lights come on) when i go to start the car it jumps to 1000 rpms like normal then drops to about 700 and bounces around and then back down to zero. My problem is that this doesnt happen all the time so the past times ive taken it to the shop they havent had any problems with it. my guess fuel pump or lines? but i dont know please help guys im in orlando at UCF if anyone knows any good mechanics, car places, ect..

Disregard the useless posts from actual mechanics above

1. Clean your fuel system and replace your fuel filter.

2. Clean your MAF w/ carb spray.

3. Clean your IACV: IACV Cleaning Process

4. Make sure plugs are not fouled.

if you suspect the fuel pump, hook a fuel pressure guage up and check it.
