hey matt... if your not looking to go over 10psi on a t28 pulsar or s15 turbo and only want like 250hp to the wheels would the stock SR 370's be enough?

yeah 370's are good to around 250Hp. but that's pushing them pretty hard...

thats getting 250hp @ 6000 rpm on an SR which has about a 12.5-13:1 air fuel. you can't really get any richer than that with 50lbs base fuel pressure already (raised from 43) frm a 370cc injector

ka's like to be around 11.5-12 also. i wouldnt run it any leaner than 12.0 under anything over 5psi.

just man up and do it right.

My friend has a turbo on his ka and it pulls pretty hard. But he also doesnt have his fuel system changed yet. Right now he really cant go more than 1/4 throttle and he has to shift very early. He has a .57 trim t3t4, a custom manifold, exhaust and ic pipes. The system looks pretty good and is supposed to put down ~290 to the wheels if he gets 440s or 550s. But for now hes looking for some SR20s so he can stop worrying about his car blowing up. I want to see some results before I give his setup any respect.

Smaert friend. Spelling error intended.
Someone will half-ass a turbo setup, then do a motorswap rather than just get a fuel setup. Nice. And how is it supposed to put 290 to the wheels? What pressure? How can you say "it pulls pretty hard" and then a sentence later say "he can't go past 1/4 throttle"?!? Then it pulls like stock, because that shouldn't be enough throttle to spool the turbo.
This is just one of those "What the fuck are you talking about and why is your friend a fucking moron" posts. Don't mind me.

Wow. Didn't realize questions were aimed at me. Heregoes.
228 whp is great but how much did you spend jeff ?
This is vague. Spend on what? Just the turbo setup (initially, I'm on KA-T v2.0) was $2200, but that was also 3 years ago, when RevHard's mani was one of two on the market, and was $650. And no fuel setup. I just drove KA-T automatic at 4psi for 20k miles on stock ecu/fuel injectors/pump and no intercooler. So comparing that to a current FMax is like comparing Apples and Shovels.

i'm not sure but if you check out jeff's 240sx you'll see that
it's a system that requires more than what is provided in the
kit
I never had a kit, as I pieced mine together. But FMU is a really poor fuel management if that's what you're saying. Go with what Matt is saying for fuel management. He knows his shit.

Is there a difference between Fmax, Xs Engineering, Greddy, etc? (Other than the fact greddy doesn't come with the intercooler)
FMax uses a log style sidemount mani on t3/4. XSE uses a RevHard and full t04b, like my setup. GReddy does have an intercooler option, and it's a VSPL with different hotpipe.

Damnit dan. You get that manifold from IAP? Next time I'm in Lakeland, I'll come over and check out that oil line kit, too. PM me your number or something. I really want to check that mani out, but those bastards don't have t4 flanges on their manifold. And their downpipe is 2.5". And they powdercoat shit, and don't have a "Give me a bare manifold" option for people that want ceramic coating.
I haven't seen the quality of IAP, but from their products it looks like they *could* be good, but fall just on this side of half-assed. Why are they giving a rrfpr with a stage 2 kit? Why aren't there 2 O2 sensor bungs? Maybe I'll call and gripe to them.
