you don't want one.. you'll have way too many problems with speed sensor / driveshaft issues

Not 100% sure it does, but its going to run around $1000-$1200 or so shipped. Then you'll need either a new driveshaft or one custom made and you'll need a way to convert the speed signal($70ish bucks) or if your a wise one, you can build one for 10ish bucks at Radio Shack.

Well, if I'm not mistaken, people bolt 5sp to the S15 block. I don't see why it wouldn't work the other way around. You have to buy a special clutch and flywheel as well. As far as reliability, I don't think that there are enough S15 trannies in the US to really comment. I only know of one locally.....

Ralph is right....the driveshaft isnt compatible so u gotta get a new one or a custom made one or something....and the speed sensor is in the tranny and that cause problems as well so its alot of custom work...

Slidewayz, I'm not sure about that comment i been looking it up and everyone gives a diffrent answer so i really would like to have that answered.... but regardless I plan on doing the swap to my s14 when i get it

You need the rear diff as thats where it gets the speed reading from .

Not worth it people go 5spds on S15 motors as the clutch system is far to overcomplicated .

Keep the 5spd

it would be smarter to just get new gears if you're not happy with the drivetrain.

Given unlimited funds, I'd bolt a sr 6 to my KA. You can only do so much with 5 gears. 6 just wins. Of course, few people have the funds to really play with a 6-speed swap or custom gears for a nissan tranny.
And I think that people get the speed reading from the abs sensor on the s15 pumpkin, which would lead me to assume that any lsd with abs sensor on it can give a speed reading. Of course, assumptions are the mother of all fuckups. I might be way off.
