Jeff, the speed sensor is actually on the lsd. Im pretty sure it has nothing to do with the abs side of the car. Its a simple two wire setup that can be calibrated using a digital converter box. The 6spd tranny I beleive isnt suggested because of the gearing for everyday driving and the assumption that it is weaker compared to the other SR trannies. I think that factor comes into place above the 300whp mark. The 6th gear only would come into place if your racing at 120+mph I believe, other than that, in drag racing(1/4 mile) at least, the race's are won in 4th gear, MAYBE 3rd. IF someone was to go the S15 route and were thinking about making serious power and were worried about the strength of the tranny, OS Giken would solve all....$$$$$ Though.

As far as reliability, I don't think that there are enough S15 trannies in the US to really comment. I only know of one locally..... [/B][/QUOTE]
this is also very true.....
in some of the "ads" in the magazines has one for
signal-na........and they list a s13 sr with 6 spd for sale.....
it can be done but it is costly and unrewarding compared
to other options......
answer your question : yes it can be done
and all of the other advise from this tread ( in reguards to it's availablity ,reliability , and it's overall investment)
was perfect ... how bout a seq tranny ?
it's only 12 k

It's not about what gear(s) you finish a race in. It's about the separation of the gears. Close ratio gears will a) keep you in spool-zone and b) keep you at peak torque. With 6 gears, I'm sure you can see how you can get closer ratios without sacrificing highway mileage compared to a 5-speed.
