I was thinking about droppin' a rb20det in my 240, but parts are so expensives. I think I rather stick to my plan on the sr20...more parts...and more upgrades. I think a sr20 is even better than the rb20det. In my own words.

lets do some math, RB20 is a inline 6 w/ same displacement as SR20 with less TQ. Now in the post above yours told by Chin180sx (me) I say RB25 is crap, which puts out I believe about 40-50 more hp than RB20, what would give you the idea that a RB20 is better than an RB25, which has already been established to be worst than SR20DET. Its like having the wheel, but using a square wheel instead.

Sr20, Rb20 and Rb25 they are great motors. If I have the money I would of got the Rb20, but my car is basic on day drive only. Plus Sr20 is affordable and also it can be quick if upgraded. I heard some peeps talking about Sr20 is easy to be fix and Rb20 is like HELL. So, I thought about it and went for the Sr20...less problems and save $$$. But like I said, that how I think. All I gotta says is that if you got the BIG green in your pocket...go ahead knock yourself with the Rb20 and go all out.

:smack head: No, no, no
Lisen, why would anyone "read" ANYONE take a crappy Inline 6, that has LESS CAPABLITIES than an SR20. Its RETARDED, THe RB20s "shit" and the RB25 "shit" came in the lesser Skylines, the cruisers. These engines were never designed to make power. the RB26 was, not the RB20 and 25. They are like taking a GA16 and tring to make power. Its usless and makes no sense. Unless you are one of those show offs, or whatevers that like to say. "hey I got an skyline engine in my car but I make crap for power!" and if my car brakes it takes forever to fix! wow im so cool! Yeah....:end rant:

The only reason i'd put an RB20DET in something would be to build a 200ZR...

first of all, I don't showoff and put it that way. You are right that Rb20 and 25 they were never designed to make power. Well, for those people that have a Rb20 or 25 swap into their 240sx will be shit and useless. Right???
