Tranny Dust shield problem.
i dropped the s14 ka motor/tranny in my s13. went to slip in the s13 drive shaft and i notice the dust shield around the output shaft is longer and wider than that of the s13. well what im trying to do now is pull it out in hopes of swapping in the s13 dust shield.
the problem im having is pulling it out. do i need to torch it and pull it out or just cut it flush with the rest of the tranny housing.

Come on, this is the only thing I need to get my car running. It's the shield piece that covers the input shaft of the drive shaft going into the tranny.

I tried pulling one off a spare tranny with channel locks and it was staying in while i lifted up the tranny and jerked it around.
It is pressed it but I'll just grab a propane torch and hopefully not ruin its seal.

well i ended up using a propane torch and just slid it out. for the s14 dust shield i just pried it down and away from the tranny and it just pop out and bent the crap out of it. dont care cause i cut most of it off in hopes of getting it to work.
and i just tapped the s13 shield in place which was kinda tricky but only took about 5 min. and now all of my drive train is hooked up. just need to press in 2 studs change the gear oil and flush the clutch lines. woot woooot. almost there.
anyone have a battery for cheap.
