Default SOHC Speed Limiter...

Ok, I'm finally going to post this to ask anyone for help...I took the steps to remove my speed limiter, 4th and 5th gear sensors are unplugged and the yellow wire with green stripe is cut from the ecu...I floor it in 3rd gear it goes to 75 then cuts off, i put it into 4th goes to about the same if its wot, same with 5th, but if I don't floor it and slowly accelerate i can keep accelerating i've gotten it upto 105 then it hit the speed limiter and wont turn back off unil 75mph agian, so i pull the ecu read the code and got a code 14 which is, "Vehicle Speed Sensor signal circuit is open" so i reset the ecu to maybe get the ecu unconfused, then tried it agian same thing...so I'm asking does anyone have any ideas? Please let me know

on the dual cam all you need to do is just cut the yellow wire. you don't need to remove any sensors off the transmission. did you ever tru it without taking the sensors off?

wrong.

the computer, without speed input, searches for the 4th & 5th gear sensors so it knows versus rpm, how fast youre going. in elimnating these, the computer thinks its in 3rd and gives you the normal rev range. as for his problem.. i have no idea. ive never had a problem disconnecting this stuff

Taylor, what you posted is not always the case.

I've had cars that run fine with only the speed sensor disconnected, i've had others that need every sensor disconnected.

I'm beginning to think it has somethign to do with what # ECU you have.
