you should be asking yourself these questions, they will help you decide.

do I want FWD or RWD?
do I mind swapping the engine if I go with RWD?
what do I want out of this/what is my HP/TQ goal?

200SX SE-R will yield you a SR20 engine w/out a swap. you can turbo it safely without modifying the bottom end.

a 240SX doesn't have a SR series engine. plan on MINIMUM $3000 for a good swap. and thats if you do it yourself and Im only calculating cost of engine only. there WILL be lots of other things involved.

for the SE-R you can get a GTI-R cast manifold, turbo, run an oil line, upgrade fuel system, JWT ECU, what else am I forgetting boostin? umm... anyways its totally feasible.

DET's are built to hold boost, regular SR's really aren't.
NOT true. but thats ok dream you said you weren't sure. Im no genius myself over here.

I currently drive a 200SX though not a SE-R. its a good car. you really can't go wrong with either choice.

i have made a post about bitching that i loose to my friends stock se-r all the time.....the only time i beat him is from like a 70 roll and thats only because of the difference in profile. se-r's are really rare and my friends is the nicest car ive seen for this amount of money the ONLY downside is that se-r s are fwd but even then ohh darn you cant drift ohhh well thats an expensive ass sport and not to manny people around here accually know what the hell they are doing........ but yea sorry i bitch alot but bottom line if i could go back i would have waited a little longer and bought the se-r. dont get me wrong i love my 240 but its called the bandwagon for a reason i cant go a day without seeing one on the streets. get an se-r.

240SX are more fun and sporty IMO, and you can find them cheaper, usually, RWD, and SR20DET it

SE-R family isn't bad either. Two of my friends have had them (Sentra and NX2000). They are sporty, quick little FWD cars.

It's all preference. I like them both.
