I was getting too much traction...needed something to loosen my tires up a bit. There is a very fine line in my car between massive wheel spin and grip and bog. When i went around the water, I couldn't get a smooth slip...it would hop around a lot and that was only if a dropped it at redline. With the water I was able to launch a little lower in the rpm. Still didnt work out for me as a never got that perfect medium without combined witha good shift to second...always one or the other

Alex was on slicks I heard. If so he should drive through the water and do a nice 2nd gear burn out to clean and heat his tires. I also heard that Alex ran a faster time than Jonas. Is this correct or not?

yeah but arent you suppose to drive in front of the water box and THEN back up into it onyl wetting the rear tires... anyways yes he did 13.5 i did 13.6... he can do better than that... iam fine with what i put down... i have no tuning, i have no slicks, i have many ghettofied things, just the basic bolt ons...

I thought he would run better than what he did also. However getting used to slicks can be tough. I personally do not like driving on slicks but have done so in the past with the Z. My first few passes on slicks were not all that impresive either but props to him for trying. If you do your burn out, and its a good one that carries you across the start line it shouldn't matter. However it is best to back up into the pit.
