i will soon have the R5 cams, new larger valves, another 5 angle valve job lol, and some nice forged pistons (can't decide if i want 9:1 to do a turbo project, or get some 11.5:1 and stay all motor). contemplating the NA SPORT carbs if i stay all motor!

SPL is a japanese acroynm for Special or Custom.

so naturally SSPL is Secret Services special , or a SS part that not many other places offer.

like custom stainless intakes, custom stainless hot pipes, custom downpipes and what not, as well as turbo kits that we offer, they get the SSPL name.

mid 13's (look at the air fuel curve again) is what the cars make the most power on. Look at the stock ecu!! it's pitifully lean everywhere else. so if anything we are going richer than what Nissan themselves think is safe. and remember, it's only a 9.5:1 compression normally aspirated motor, nothing spectacular.

we have put the air fuel curve everywhere, and they make the most power at mid 13s.

agreed with matt. 13.7-13.4 is where the car made most power. in conjunction with the proper ignition timing values safety is not an issue. the engine is fine at those AFR's. they are pretty standard for naturally aspirated (asphixiated...LOL) engines

i agree with everyone the gains are absolutely outrageous and incredible, but you see it drops off after about 5k, whereas the stock has more high end power, the tuned rom is more for street driving and lowto mid range power, it's not very good for track racing unless you shift at 4.6k, now you would get a better launch but whos to say the base car wouldnt catch up in the long run?

Even if you were right, which you aren't, 1500rpms worth of 10hp wouldn't catch up to a car with 5000rpms worth of 10-30rwhp more at every rpm.
Now to the "you're not right" part. I think you're looking at the tuned rom torque curve falling under the stock hp curve. Or some other mis-reading. The tuned chip makes more power everywhere, no exceptions.

Kardon, you are misinterpreting the dyno curves.

match each color # to it's cooresponding curve.

thanks, matt
