im faced with this dilema
so i see my KA dying before me. either i rebuilt the hell out of it, and turbo it over the summer..or just do the sr.. my KA is leaking oill from front and rear seal.. transmission is getting bad again.. what do u guys reccomend and what do u think would be the prices for each way. if i do sr, i just want BOV and full exhaust and boost controller, nothing big and fancy for now. and the KA i want decent power out of, like maybe 275-300. with all the advancements coming with SS kaT looks good, but i think it might be too much for me, unless u wanna work something out matt, keep in mind when i do this ill be out of school
.. throw me some opinions
After everything is said and done, you will probably pay the same or more for a KA-T than an SR. I perosnally would go SR. It can hold more power than you are looking for by a lot with out opening it up at all which is always nice, you get a new tranny with it, and its just so easy to upgrade down the road should you choose to.
If you do a SR, you are also gonna want a front mount so you can turn up the boost and get the most out of the stock turbo

however with a ka, youre only looking at pistons to get a good power level that you want.
lets remember, you can just do an sr mafs and sr 370cc's which people just throw away these days and do the same power output as a stock sr. oh and you dont need to worry about getting a complete swap either, you already have the ka in your car.
stay tuned!
