S14 turbo will only bolt on, however you would need a new or modified hot pipe.

I had my brother's T25 rebuilt. It depends on what you value. Do you want to go buy a $100 "used" turbo and spend 6 hours swapping it out to find that it's possibly trash? Or, would you spend $225 on a rebuild and know that you can do 14psi without worry for as long as the motor holds up? How about $300+ on a "used" T28 for more power and risk? With a daily driver, I value reliability, and a rebuild was the only way to achieve that with 100% certainty.

Yeah, given Jonas's past maintence record, maybe he should get a rebuild just so he can eliminate a variable in the equasion....

Jonas, Your turbo is undoubtedly not shot. That supercharger noise your hearing is more than likely air escaping between your turbo and the exhaust manifold. The bolts that hold the turbo to the manifold have a common problem with coming loose. When this happens it will make the noise you are speaking of. Check it out. Should this be your problem it will be a simple fix.

yeah ... it still holds boost, and the sound only occurs at high rpms... i can be at 10psi at around 4k and u wont really hear the sound then... i will check these bolts... its not smoking, it still holds boost... errrr
