Default Shocks for s14

I'm in the market for some shocks...wonering if anyone can give me some info. Im not looking for anything crazilly priced...rite now looking at:
Tokico hp or KBY gr-2
any comments on these would be helpfull or any other suggestions that would be in the same catagory.

get good springs and use stock struts if ut not looking for mind blowing performance, it will work fine for what u want im sure

i hear gr-2 is for stock springs or tein s tech or anything not lower than 1", i have heard they cant handle more than 1" or so and blow out. tokico's are your best bet for non-adjustable versions. if u need adjustable step it up to kyb agx or koni/gab etc

Another question once i swap in sr20det...should i chance suspension to dampers?? or should i keep stock with springs after swap??

For the harsh roads in Atlanta, I put some GR-2's and an Eibach Pro-Kit on my brother's S13. It's not too low, rides great, and handles well. I would say that this setup is like stock + 25% more sport. He's got a couple thousand miles on it and an SR.
