get good springs and use stock struts if ut not looking for mind blowing performance, it will work fine for what u want im sure

i hear gr-2 is for stock springs or tein s tech or anything not lower than 1", i have heard they cant handle more than 1" or so and blow out. tokico's are your best bet for non-adjustable versions. if u need adjustable step it up to kyb agx or koni/gab etc

Another question once i swap in sr20det...should i chance suspension to dampers?? or should i keep stock with springs after swap??

For the harsh roads in Atlanta, I put some GR-2's and an Eibach Pro-Kit on my brother's S13. It's not too low, rides great, and handles well. I would say that this setup is like stock + 25% more sport. He's got a couple thousand miles on it and an SR.
